How do you keep your pet birds healthy and happy? First, give them toys to keep them occupied. Without mental stimulation, birds can easily become depressed or destructive. There are different bird toys that can be purchased. But make sure that don’t spend too much on one toy because you might need to replace this every so often.

Second, give your birds the right food taking into account dietary needs. There are five pet bird dietary classifications: ~ florivores feed on seeds, fruits, nuts, and berries ~ granivores need grains and seeds ~ frugivores eat mostly fruit and flowers ~ omnivores feed on seeds, fruits, insects and invertebrates, and ~ nectarivores have a diet of mainly nectar and pollen.
