I just got my first puppy ever, and I am so excited! I used to live in an apartment where pets were not allowed. But now that my husband and I can finally afford a house in the suburbs, one of the first things I did was to go to the pound to pick out a puppy.
I did not want to get a puppy from a pet shop because I have read accounts of what goes on in puppy farms. So I wanted to get a dog that was abandoned, and I wanted to shower it with all the love I can give. Along with that love, I made sure that I will be able to give my pet the best dog health care possible, so I brought him right away to a vet for his very first checkup.
