Tapeworms are intestinal parasites that can affect a cat’s health. These worms appear on cats usually as dried segments that look like bits of rice or pasta around the anus. Seek a veterinarian’s advice for proper diagnosis and feline tapeworm treatment if you suspect that your cat is infected.

There are over-the-counter and prescription tablets or pastes for deworming. Follow manufacturer’s recommended dosages and instructions if administering the medication yourself. Otherwise, refer to your vet’s instructions to make sure you are following procedures correctly.
