Most dog owners treat their dogs as part of the family. When our pet dog gets sick we are willing to do anything to make them better. In fact, most dog owners think of their pet dog as another child. One of the greatest concerns that afflict purebred dogs is hip dysplasia. Hip dysplasia happens when the leg bone becomes loose from the hip socket. It is very painful for the dog and its owner. Stem cells for pets show great promise in treating this disease.
Stem cells for pets technology is actually more advance that for humans. The restrictions on pets are less rigid. The technology use for hip dysplasia is already here and not on the experimental stage anymore. Getting a hip replacement for hip dysplasia was the procedure of choice costing around $10,000. Using stem cells, the cost will be about $2,500. So imagine how amazing this medical breakthrough is?
