About two years ago, I bought a bulldog from a breeder. I got him below market value. He is one cute bulldog except for some sort of skin rash. His previous owner said he scraped it from the cage. After two weeks, I noticed his “rash” got bigger. I brought him to a vet that specializes in pet skin problems. It turned out to be mites. It took me a month or two to get my dog to heal and a lot of money to fix him up. In short, I paid premium for my bulldog.
Pet skin problems are often caused by parasites. In the case of dogs, it is caused by fleas, ticks and mites. It is important to have a regular check up regimen to check on infestation. Trust me; you don’t want your dog to be infested by fleas, ticks or mites. Not only will your dog suffer, you and your family will too. Fleas, ticks and mites can affect humans as well. They can slowly poison a human body. Plus seeing fleas and ticks crawling in your sofa or bed is really gross.
