Caring for a cat entails more than just feeding and playing with it. Good grooming is also a must for it to thrive. And part of good grooming is making sure your cat has clean and healthy skin and fur.

Immediate cat skin care is called for if a feline has dandruff flakes on its coat, scratches excessively, and sheds hair copiously. If there are noticeable static charges too when the fur is stroked, the cat may be suffering from dry skin. To resolve this problem, heed these helpful tips:

~Ensure that a cat gets proper nutrition. Feed it daily with top quality cat food.
~Provide plenty of clean drinking water.
~Brush the fur daily to spread out its natural oils. Aim for 30 strokes every time.
~If the symptoms or skin problem persists or worsens, take the cat to the vet.
