Making Memories

When my kids first asked us to get them a pet dog, my husband and I were quite hesitant because we would not want to worry about the additional load. This would mean having to take care and look after another creature in the home, aside from being very busy with the kids and the household. Although we were first hesitant about it, my kids’ pleas where something we could not refuse.

It was just like yesterday when we got our first pet dog. Now it was time to bury him after he had fallen ill because of old age. We all decided to bury him at the back of the house so we can always come and see him. My husband got one of those custom pet tombstones so our kids can be reminded of our pet and how he has been part of this family. I never thought I would be so attached, and I never regret having to take him to our home to be part of the family.
