Having a puppy can be the best thing that ever happened to you. Having a puppy can be a nightmare. The difference between these two statements is in training. Train your dog well and both you and your dog will be happy. You should start with basic obedience and work your way to off leash training. To make leash training possible, use a retractable dog lead.
A retractable dog lead allows you to handle your dog from afar as well as by your side. The leash will retract so that you or your dog won’t trip on the cord. It’s perfect for small to medium sized dogs. I don’t like using it on big dogs because they are too strong. Give them a little leeway and they can run all the way to China dragging you along for the ride.
